Tide Line 2016 was commissioned by the Museum of Old and New Art, Tasmania, as part of the solo exhibition Field Lines by Cameron Robbins. Through a series of mechanical and hydraulic linkages, tidal movements in the Derwent Estuary were transferred into the museum and drawing onto paper, onto a 10 metre circumference drum which rotated once per month in empathy with the lunar cycle. The device was sensitive enough to record the movement of tide and waves and even the passing of boats.
