In a disused school building, unused paint from the school art room is reconstituted and attached to ceiling fans to produce a large site specific painting. Dark colours added first, followed by light colours the following day. Some layers added during the public opening.
A quick response art installation in an old school ‘portable’, scheduled for demolition, in Preston, Vic, Australia. A small group of artists were given a short time to create site-specific works on the site. It was titled “Will you miss me when I’m gone”. Using old school paint from the art room, and the classroom itself, I made this piece over two days – including live painting in front of the opening audience.
